Coyote Springs, NV
Coyote Springs is the largest privately held property approved for development in Southern Nevada, it features panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and desert. It is planned to be developed over the next few decades. Developer Harvey Whittemore with Coyote Springs Investment, an affiliate of the Wingfield Nevada Group plans to turn this mostly vacant land into the state’s largest master planned community. He has been approved to build 49,000 housing units on the 14,000 acres of land the company owns on the Clark County side of the county border line. The homes will be built on 7,800 acres, with the remaining 6,200 acres left untouched as natural habitat. Construction of 7,000 homes was scheduled to begin in 2007 on the first 2,000 acres but at this time it is on hold due to the economic conditions in Southern Nevada. The agreement also calls for securing water rights for Coyote Springs without tapping into Southern Nevada Water Authority supplies.
Nevada’s newest city is going to emerge about 60 miles north of Las Vegas on 43,000 acres of land. 30,000 acres have been set aside for development. Coyote Springs will be self-contained with its own businesses, town centers, parks and entertainment. It is within driving distance to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego and Phoenix. The residential neighborhoods will be complemented by various housing options and amenities, including vacation golf villas, commercial developments, custom lots and multi-family homes in addition to the first PGA Village in the western United States, offering residents a golf training facility and a series of Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses. The course is currently open to the public.
Another defining element of Coyote Springs is a system of trails to connect residents to its parks and open spaces. The plans also call for an equestrian center and horse park. The new homes in Coyote Springs will support the latest advances in technology and high-speed data transfer.
Future residences of Coyote Springs will experience world-class golf and numerous outdoor adventures. The list of amenities in this community include a private fitness center, day spa and wellness center, multiple swimming pools, a tennis center, a central clubhouse and a boutique hotel. Recreation is integral to the Coyote Springs experience, whether vacationing or performing the activities of the daily life. Not to mention the attractions of the nearby city of Las Vegas.
